Pimm + Marcel
We are Pimm and Marcel, the proud owners of Loups d’Or, our holiday cottage in Lusignac, in the gently sloped hills of the Dordogne-Charente border.
Our life together started in 2000 and since then, we travelled a lot, privately and for work, working as aircraft cabin crew for KLM/Air France and BA, respectively. It brought us all over the world and we learned a lot about different cultures and hospitality simultaneously. We not only travelled a lot, we also had our own art gallery in Hamburg and in Amsterdam. Passionate about chocolate, Marcel became a Chocolatier and a few years later we opened our Chocolaterie in the heart of Amsterdam, which, according to the Press, was the best in the Netherlands and Belgium together! We share more mutual interests like contemporary art, architecture, nature, our environment, cooking, music, culture, playing tennis, walking and rowing. But probably the most important thing we share is ‘change’, as in progress, making our mutual dreams come true and living our lives as a journey, not as a destination. *
The beautiful thing about our home in Lusignac is the combination of a Late Medieval foundation with 21st century luxury, modern & contemporary art and innovation, like the sustainable heat exchange system.
We choose this part of France for our self-catering holiday cottage with a lot of care and a bit away from the crowds, but with the typical attractive Dordogne and Charente villages around the corner.
Hope seeing you soon!
Pimm + Marcel van der Donk
* Both being born on the 22nd and being married on the 22nd, we can say that our number is 22. In numerology, the master number 22 stands for building a new life and a new world.
